The Digital Media Consumption, Dependency and its Self-Perceived Effects on Familial and Peer Interpersonal Relationships of the Filipino Youth
This quantitative study examined the digital media consumption and dependency of Filipino youth and its self-perceived effects on their interpersonal relationships. Findings also show that digital media positively affects peer relationships but may negatively impact family relationships.


Maria Clara for the 21st Century: Filipino Responses to “Neo‑Colonial” Encounters
This work presents a postcolonial critique of hegemonic Spanish discourses in the Philippines by analyzing the 2006 dance piece Love, Death, and Mompou, a revision of the María Clara dance suite. It argues that the performance uses bodily expression to subvert and reframe colonial narratives supported by Spanish cultural funding programs.
